Contributor Acceptances

As to not accidentally neglect some HetaGirls due to others being fandom-wide favorites, the mod team plans to be a bit selective when it comes to accepting contributors for the more popular characters.While we encourage contributors to still seek to make work for the girls in high demand, we want to see love for all of the ladies!When contributors apply for the zine, they will be asked which HetaGirl they wish to make their priority, which girl is their second choice, and any other girls they wouldn’t mind making work for. They will then be accepted on the basis of focusing on one HetaGirl in particular. Of course, other HetaGirls besides your focus can still be implemented in your submission!We are currently unsure how many contributors we will accept per HetaGirl, as this ultimately depends on how many applications we receive! Understandably, there will be some girls who have more contributions than others in the end, but with the current method we are implementing to onboard contributors, we’re hoping to lessen the gap.

Will this zine be available digitally or physically?
Due to this being the hosts' first time running a zine, this zine will only be released digitally. More details on where the final project will be release to come later.Is this zine free to access?
Yes! This zine is completely free.Is this zine SFW or NSFW?
This is a SFW zine. No NSFW themes are allowed in either illustrations or writing.Are Nyotalia/Genderbent characters allowed in the zine?
The goal of this zine is to highlight the women already portrayed in the canon material of the webcomic and anime. At this time, Nyotalia characters are allowed only if they accompany a canon woman! An example of such would be Hungary with Nyo!Austria or Nyo!Prussia! In future installments of femme☆phenomenon, it's possible that strictly Nyotalia contributions may be allowed!Are 2P! Characters allowed in the zine?
No, we would prefer to keep the zine to the canon cast.Are OCs allowed in the zine?
While we would prefer to stick to the main cast of women, we would hate to discourage anyone from sharing cultures not yet depicted in Hetalia! OCs are allowed so long as the submission is Hetalia relevant and the character accompanies a main HetaGirl.Can I make multiple submissions for the zine?
So long as the submissions are for different characters, yes! However, secondary pitches are not as high a priority as the first pitch.More on this to come...Is this a historical or AU zine?
Either kind of submission is fine! Nationverse, historical entries, humanverse, or any AUs are allowed so long as they center the HetaGirls! However, we ask that submissions deter from excessive graphic content and sensitive subjects this time around. femme☆phenomenon was created with the intent to give the HetaGirls a place to be silly and lighthearted on their own. Some pitches may be a case-by-case basis and can be discussed with the mod team!Do submissions have to stay on theme?
The theme of flora and fauna is an overarching theme meant to connect each of the Hetagirls, as each of them have a national flower, and to inspire contributors’ pitches. Understandably, “flora and fauna” is a difficult theme to work with for writing, so it is not necessary to stay on theme, but appreciated if contributors work nature into their works in some way.Are collaborations allowed?
If a contributor wishes to collaborate with another person, they may! Both contributors will need to make note of this on their individual submissions forms. Examples of collaborations are comics, fics with accompanying illustrations, or fics with spot illustrations!What if I have to drop out of the project?
We understand that life happens! So long as a contributor isn’t dropping out without sufficient time to find a pinch-hitter, a contributor may drop out at any time.Will extensions be granted?
As this is the first zine both hosts are running, we are unsure what to expect! There is such a long period of time for zine assembly in the event a contributor needs an extension, however, contributors should do their very best to stay on schedule. This zine is meant to be released on International Women’s Day!Which characters are allowed?
